Would anyone be interested in a Facebook support group for either teens with PMDD or their parents/caregivers? It would be a secret group so you don't have to be "out" about you or your loved one's PMDD to take part -- but that does mean you have to ask us to add you. Comment or private message our Facebook page if you're interested.
There are a lot of different "breeds" of depression -- I mean us PMDD people already knew that since we are one, but still. It has a different appearance in different populations, cultures, genders and even within these groups it still varies. As hard as it's been to pin down the effects, the causes are just as confusing with genetics, experience and hormones all appearing to play a role. Elizabeth Forbes goes into this a little in her article Depression: What breed it your black dog? How does your PMDD differ from stereotypes of depression and PMS? And before we get in trouble for trashing the black dogs that bark, feel free to post cute pics of yours below. Pets of all varieties are great for mental health!
